Even though we are still in the permitting process…(which seems to go on forever!)
We have accomplished a few projects.

New fence along road
This is a photo of the new fence along our road front.  We selected wood from a sustainable source and
it has a 40 yr guarantee with the preservative that was added.  The chemicals in the preservative are natural and much less toxic than traditional wood treatments.

New south boundry fence
This is our new south fence.  It is a combination or three strand wire and woven wire.  (This fence is for cattle) We chose wire made in the US as opposed to China to lower the carbon footprint.  And as it turns out is was also better quality and less expensive.  That’s what I call a triple win!

Contractor and Architect discuss new residence
Here the Contractor and Architect discuss the location and position of one of the residences.  Both homes will be energy efficient with passive solar design and environmentally friendly materials.

I am a Morgan sport horse owner in Shropshire, England and recently received the Nov./Dec. copy of TMH magazine. As we are currently having the coldest snowest winter for 30 years I am amusing my self looking at web sites listed in the magazine. As my husband is a retired architect I am always interested in others new projects especially if they include horses. Yours looks really exciting and I look forward to seeing updates in the future. Now I will have a look at your Merriewold Morgans. Good luck with the project sincerely Gill

Hi Gill, Thanks for your comment. It is so nice to hear from someone with similar interests, especially from such a long way away. I would love to know how you deal with horse/ environmental issues in England… waste disposal, chemicals used around horses, worming, and pesticides. We have been spreading our composted manure on the native pasture to improve it after years of over grazing.
Hope you liked our Merriewold site as well…Thanks and please comment again, Diana
